Edward Ford "Ed" Weber (born July 26, 1931) is an American former politician from Ohio. He served one term in the United States House of Representatives as a Republican. Weber was born in Toledo, Ohio. He attended Denison University, and earned a law degree from Harvard University. Upon graduation, Weber began two years of service in the U.S. Army. After his discharge in 1958, he began to practice law. In 1966, Weber was hired as a law professor by the University of Toledo. In 1980, Weber ran for the United States House of Representatives from a Toledo-based district. He defeated 26-year incumbent Lud Ashley, chairman of the House Merchant Marine Committee, in a considerable upset. This was due largely to Ronald Reagan carrying Lucas County, home to Toledo.
